Kevin Schroeder, Esq

Kevin Schroeder received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in Political Science and Spanish with a minor in Music Performance.  He received his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2013.  During law school, Kevin worked as a researcher and student attorney in the UNC Immigration and Human Rights Policy Clinic, interned with the UNC Center for Civil Rights, and served as a judicial intern for Judge Linda McGee at the North Carolina Court of Appeals.  He also worked as Articles Editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation and served as a judge on the UNC Graduate Programs Honor Court.

Before attending law school, Kevin worked as a legal assistant with Glover Immigration Law in Chapel Hill, NC, a law firm specializing in family-based immigration.  Since coming to the Triangle area in 2006, Kevin has been an active advocate for the rights and wellbeing of immigrants in North Carolina, working with organizations such as El Centro Hispano in Carrboro, NC and the Southern Coalition for Social Justice in Durham, NC.

Kevin joined Melo & Hurtado PLLC in September 2013, and practices Immigration Law.
